Course Description

This five-day Erasmus+ training course explores how schools and museums can collaborate to create engaging learning experiences through non-formal education, object-based learning and digital innovation. It brings together teachers, school staff, museum educators, cultural professionals and other education practitioners who want to connect classroom learning with museum collections, cultural heritage and interactive digital environments.

Participants examine the relationship between formal, non-formal and museum-based education and learn how museum objects, exhibitions and cultural spaces can be transformed into meaningful learning resources. The course introduces practical methods such as storytelling, role-playing, treasure hunts, World Café, collaborative inquiry and experiential learning.

Participants also explore digital tools such as Actionbound, Genially, Canva, Padlet, interactive quizzes, augmented reality and virtual museum tours. Through practical workshops and mixed-team activities, they design educational trails, student activity sheets, digital content and joint school–museum projects that can be adapted to different subjects, age groups and learning needs.

By the end of the course, each participant will have contributed to a practical school–museum project plan combining curriculum links, non-formal learning methods and suitable digital tools.
