Course Description
Empowering Students Through Collaboration is a professional development course designed for teachers, school leaders, counsellors, and educational professionals who wish to strengthen student engagement, increase participation, reduce absenteeism, and create more collaborative learning environments.
Student success is closely linked to meaningful participation, positive relationships, and a strong sense of belonging within the school community. Schools that actively engage students, families, and communities create environments where learners feel motivated, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
Participants will explore evidence-based approaches for improving attendance, strengthening family-school partnerships, increasing student motivation, promoting inclusive participation, developing collaborative learning experiences, and creating engaging school cultures.
Methodology
This course is based on experiential learning, collaborative learning, project-based learning, reflective practice, case-study analysis, problem-solving activities, peer learning, action planning, and practical educational applications.
Participants will engage in interactive workshops, group discussions, real-life case studies, collaborative planning exercises, role-playing activities, and practical classroom simulations.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
