Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Building Classrooms with Fewer Barriers and More Opportunities is a professional development course designed for teachers, trainers, school leaders, and educational professionals who want to create inclusive learning environments that support the success of every student.
Modern classrooms include learners with diverse backgrounds, abilities, interests, languages, learning preferences, and support needs. Traditional teaching approaches often create unintended barriers that limit student participation and achievement.
This course introduces participants to the core principles of UDL and explores practical strategies for creating accessible, engaging, and inclusive learning environments through multiple means of engagement, representation, action and expression.
Methodology
This course is based on Universal Design for Learning principles, experiential learning, collaborative learning, inclusive education practices, reflective practice, case-study analysis, lesson design workshops, peer learning, classroom simulations, and problem-solving activities.
Participants will engage in practical exercises that help identify learning barriers, redesign learning materials, create accessible learning experiences, and develop flexible assessment methods.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
