Course Description |
The issue of diversity and the desire for equal visibility of gender have brought about the need for collective cultural awareness not only in society but also in schools. The promotion of gender equality and the acceptance of diversity in the educational environment have become two of the most important challenges from the beginning of this century.
This course is intended as a group workshop where we will handle and develop concepts such as gender equality, diverse learners, inclusiveness, sexual identity, disability, positive reinforcement, or social roles and stereotypes, among others, within the education system. This course is for professionals in the teaching sphere who find inclusive education and equality of opportunities the path to integrating the needs of all students, no matter their family background, gender, or abilities. |
Methodologies of The Course |
The course methodology will focus on the concepts of diversity and gender equality as the starting point to break stereotypes and achieve an integral formation of individuals from their early school period to adulthood.
Teaching methods and facilities to enhance diverse learners’ performance at school and later in society will also be analysed in terms of progress and inclusiveness. The methodological approach of this course will include ice-breaking activities, group discussions, oral presentations, and participants’ experiences. A set of ideal improvement measures will finally be designed. |
Pedagogical Approach |
